Raanjhanaa (English: Beloved One) is a 2013 Indian romantic drama film, directed by Anand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. The film is produced by Krishika Lulla under the banner Eros International. It stars Dhanush, in his Bollywood debut, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol in lead roles.The film was released on 21 June 2013 worldwide, while the dubbed Tamil version titled Ambikapathy was released a week later.The dialogues for the Tamil version was written by John Mahendran.

Storyline

The pundit's son Kundan (Dhanush) has fallen for the girl at first sight. That they're both kids makes us dismiss it as a meaningless crush. But a few years later, the boy is still in love with the girl, Zoya (Sonam Kapoor). When she's in school, he follows her around holding her hand and getting slapped in the process. Finally, she relents because of his "consistency".
